Synopsis: Scarlet, the American wife of a successful Oxford professor, is a talented baroque musician, suffering from the unexpected effects of post-abortion depression. She starts a passionate relationship with a charismatic illegal immigrant whose wife and baby son have drowned in the Mediterranean sea while fleeing from war-torn Syria. She decides to help rescue his ailing daughter from the Calais Jungle, with tragic consequences.
