The ACTION/THRILLER FEBRUARY 2017 FEEDBACK Film Festival was truly a great success.

The theme of the festival was “OPEN ENDED ENDINGS”.

Every film showcased had an ending for sure – but it also left a continuining story for the characters presented. So if any of these filmmakers want to make a sequel – they can!

NOTE: This was the 3rd festival showcasing the best of Action Short Films at the festival. And the 4th festival that was moderated by Amanda Lomonaco. She was terrific and will be moderating 6 more festivals in 2017.

This was one of those rare festival nights where every single film presented received multiple votes for “Best Film” of the night.

The Action / Crime / Thriller Festival nights are now becoming my favourites. Many of these terrific films don’t get a fair shake from other festival programmers because they appear to be too “mainstream” for the short film market.

Before I started the FEEDBACK Festival, I worked at more than a few film festivals, TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) being one of them. It was there where I truly understood what programmers are looking for – and the films presented at this festival are NOT what they are looking for.

When I decided to dedicate an entire festival for these genres, I have to say that I was a bit worried. I didn’t know if we were going to receive a fair share of quality films from around the world in the Action/Crime genres in particular. And boy was I wrong. Hence the reason why there are 4 more festivals in these genres scheduled in Los Angeles & Toronto in 2017.
