With the help of a native Micmac woman and a Huron ally they battle Mohawk warriors on their journey to a new homeland beyond the mighty falls of Niagara.

1. What is your screenplay about?
The colony of Greenlandic Vikings trapped by sea ice of The Little Ice Age in 1400 flee to North America and befriend a Micmac woman and a Huron man as they battle Mohawk warriors on their journey up the Saint Lawrence River to a new homeland beyond the mighty falls of Niagara.
2. What genres does your screenplay fall under?
Action/Adventure. Historical fiction.
3. Why should this screenplay be made into a movie?
It contains sailing, fighting, danger, storms, pirates, deceit, adventure to a new homeland, conflict between religious views, canoes, Puma attack, cultural clashes between Vikings and Native Americans, romantic love stories, family bonding,, hand-to-hand combat above Niagara Falls, and a cute dog.
4. How would you describe this script in two words?
Escape, survive
5. What movie have you seen the most times in your life?
Perhaps The Last of the Mohicans, the inspiration for this screenplay
7. How many stories have you written?
I’ve written 30 short stories, one novel, and three full-length screenplays.
9. What obstacles did you face to finish this screenplay?
After writing the screenplay it was a challenge to mold it to the “Blake Snyder” beat method.
10. Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?
I’m a bird watcher and birdbander. I enjoy catching and holding wild birds.
11. You entered your screenplay via FilmFreeway. What has been your experiences working with the submission platform site?
It’s the best and easiest platform to use.
12. What influenced you to enter the festival? What were your feelings on the initial feedback you received?
My eyes are weary of writing and reading, and I look forward to hearing actors bring my characters to life.
