Mattias Evangelista is a Director currently based in Los, Angeles, California. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Mattias got his start in the action-sports world. He specializes in documentary and branded content. As a filmmaker, he strives to tell human stories and brings passion and empathy to every project he works on.
Director Statement
My introduction to filmmaking came from making ski films. From an early age, my brother and I would do our best to imitate our favorite films that we saw each year. We would take turns skiing and filming each other and then come home to teach ourselves how to edit with Final Cut. Having the opportunity to work on this film alongside my brother was a very special experience for me, and in many ways, this project is a “thank you” to a place and community that have given me so much.
